An Escape in the City
Patras, Greece
2004
It is around the size of a 3500 square meter hotel. it is intended for city visitors. Unlike other hotels, this structure is designed for individuals who want to get away from the city while being in the city.
The location is on the city of Patras' beach road. On one side, there is a public park, on the other, the coastline, and on the next site, there is an ancient raisin warehouse. The Public Bus Stop, as well as the port and train station, are all within walking distance.
The current bus depot is still in operation, thus a higher platform is built. A structure that has "entered" the vacant warehouse on its side, creating a space for the demands of a summer resort, as well as a broad pedestrian bridge that connects the entire property to the public park and the harbour.
