A Cultural Heritage and Iconic Status

This project is by Zaha Hadid architects when I was responsible for part of the design presentation and the competition documents. 

The proposal exists as a logical progression of the historic building, moving forward while still providing viewing shafts from the new to the old. 

The new station will act as a multi-faceted transport hub for the city and its surroundings, as well as a destination in and of itself, separate from its captive audience of travellers. The scheme will act on pedestrian and street transport flows, providing a relaxing and yet exciting release from the city rush- fitting in with, while offering respite from the everyday bustle.
