A Luxurious New Hotel

The hotel unit concept is aimed at the high-end luxury tourist sector that visits Athens by providing a limited number of luxury rooms and suites, as well as catering and social events, positioning the hotel as the capital's most iconic and opulent hotel. The property has a unique exposure to the city centre, with direct access to Kolokotroni Square, which is located directly across from the Old Parliament building. The Greek State has designated this project as a particular design challenge for the design of the conversion and rehabilitation of an architectural monument. 

The refurbishment and conversion of a 1930 building into a five-star hotel included the bioclimatic character as an essential aspect of the overall design. The project's primary need has been the use of contemporary and durable materials and building methods that require the least amount of upkeep. All of the parameters listed above are designed to reduce the cost of building construction, maintenance, and operation.
