The Armenian Heritage Museum

An Exploration in Digital Space

Athens, Greece

2021

The project investigates the museum in three separate ways in digital space. Initially, physical space digitization provides a digital representation of the physical space and thereby improves user access. The addition of a digital layer improves the experience and seeks to communicate the real area through different media.

The second method for exploring the museum in digital space is to create one. Designing a digital place removes all physical space constraints and produces a new spatial understanding. An Immersive Experience provides the visitor with a completely distinct spatial experience. The HCI (Human Computer Interaction) interface proposal, which provides the user with an interactive experience, strives to communicate concepts in digital space. This is where the augmented experience merges real and digital environments, improving spatial awareness. This increases the reach of the physical place through digital methods.
